We bought the lovely big figures, but what really made the whole nativity scene special was Paul's wonderful fireplace!

Paul and I built up the fireplace framework, placed the "logs" over the crinkly red cellophane and manufactured some "old pots".

But the part that makes it special is what he did underneath the fire pit. A bunch of little lights that flicker at random are what provides the magic and adds so much ambiance to the whole scene.
