Mt Rainier is THE landmark around here.
Driving around, you often catch a glimpse of it when there is a break between buildings or trees. Some days, the haze or cloud cover is so thick you don't see it all, other days it feels like you could almost touch it.
About a 2 hour drive from us, it is a lovely area and makes a nice day trip outing.
