Our trip to see puffins - July 2018.
It is a rather special place - covered in birds during summer, and taken over by seals in winter.

Pity there were far too many people, and many of them were very noisy - we never managed to get close to any puffins, but still go to see plenty of them. They are delightful to look at, and such dedicated parents!

They only have one puffling per season who lives in the underground burrow for exactly 40 days, then they suddenly waddle down to the water and take off, live in the open ocean for the next 4 years, then hopefully return to here to find a mate.
